The Food Course


Course Tutor

The Food Course is a 7 week course that will take you through the ins and outs, ups and downs of everything to do with food.

Each week the course will give you a comprehensive look at food.

We will look at what is food and what is not food.

We will look at the good and bad effects that food has on the human body, what foods to eat and what foods not to eat.


The Food Course 2013

The weekly syllabus is as follows:

Week 1: Basic Anatomy and Physiology. i.e. – Circulatory, Digestive, Excretory, Nervous & Respiratory systems

Week 2: Human Nutrition and the Importance of Vitamins

Week 3: Minerals and Water – i.e. How minerals operate in the human body and the role and importance of water in the body

Week 4: Carbohydrates, Proteins and Fats – i.e. the role that carbohydrates, protein and fats play within the system

Week 5: The concept of Healthy Eating, Weight Management, Metabolism and Exercise.

Weeks 6 & 7: Cooking Workshops – On weeks 6 and 7 there will 4 hour workshops. During the Cookery workshop, you will

  • Watch demonstrations on how to make snacks, main meals and desserts 
  • Ask any questions you have foods and their preparation
  • Enjoy a meal at the end of the workshop 
  • Receive special exclusive recipies in an exclusive recipe booklet.

The cost for this magnificent 7 week course is only £110.00.
