A powerful documentary about the mother of Tupac Shakur and the historic trial of the Black Panther Party members.
Liberty (40 mins, 2024)
‘Liberty: Kath Duncan, The Untold Struggle for Civil Rights’ is a documentary film about the life and activism of Kath Duncan. Her role in establishing the LGBTQ and civil rights movement in 1930’s Britain laid the groundwork for The National Council Civil Liberties.
Both films have picked up multiples prizes on their tours with Liberty winning 58 Global Awards & Afeni Shakur winning 21 Global Awards so far despite still being mid film festival season.
