Make History come to life with the ‘Black Power: Great Black Leaders & Liberators’ children workshop led by Charmaine Simpson of Black History Studies. With its emphasis on Black racial identity, pride and self-determination, Black Power influenced everything from popular culture to education to politics.
This workshop will inspire young people to learn about great leaders and liberators who contributed to world history.

In this session, we will explore the life and legacy of Marcus Mosiah Garvey.
The workshop will last 1.5 hours from 16:00 to 17:30 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)
The workshops are aimed at young people aged 8 – 16 years old.
The workshop will take place at The Black Cultural Centre Islington, 16–18 Hornsey Road, London, N7 7BT. Nearest tube station is Holloway Road (Piccadilly Line). Free parking after 6.30pm on surrounding streets.
