Make History come to life with this FREE children workshop by Black History Studies. With its emphasis on Black racial identity, pride and self-determination, Black Power influenced everything from popular culture to education to politics.

Bring the family and learn about the Pan-African holiday called Kwanzaa. Together, we’ll explore the seven principles and symbols of this annual celebration of African-American and Pan-African family, community, and culture.

The workshop will last 1.5 hours from 16:30 to 18:00 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time)

The workshops are aimed at young people aged 8 – 16 years old.

The workshop will take place at The Black Cultural Centre Islington, 16–18 Hornsey Road, N7 7BT. Nearest tube station is Holloway Road (Piccadilly Line).
