On Saturday 22nd June 2019, Black History Studies presents ‘We Deh Yah Before Windrush: Exploring the History of African and Caribbean People in Britain before 1948’

This fascinating presentation by Black History Studies focuses on the hidden Black History of Britain and the contributions made by people of African and Caribbean descent to Britain before 1948. Most people believe that Black people only came here in 1948. Black people have lived in Britain since Roman times. Moors were a common sight in Elizabethan England. This presentation will highlight the invaluable input people of African and Caribbean descent have provided to London, from the 16th century to 1948.

This event will take place on SATURDAY 22ND JUNE 2019 at St Ann’s Library, Cissbury Road, Tottenham, London, N15 5PU. Approx 10 mins walk from Seven Sisters Station. Free on-street parking from 6.30pm. Buses 67, 259, 279 stop nearby.

Doors open at 4.30pm. Event starts at 5.00pm.

Advanced tickets will cost £6.00. Children under 17 are FREE. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
